Project overview: Five Houses Farm shop is owned by respected family butcher Kitson & Sons from North Yorkshire. The farm shop was a new venture for the family in Crathorne Village, and the project scope was one that would give them a complete brand with logo mark, in-house marketing assets, including signage, menu set, wine tags and visual wall panels. The concept centres around the history of the building being referred to as Five Houses when it was a working farm, so the design took the route of digitally creating a monotone outline of the building shape and surrounding tree-line, together with careful typeface selection and sensitive colour palette.
Secondary to the branding was the development of a full mobile responsive website to enable Five Houses to have a web presence that was visually attractive and easy for users of all abilities to learn about the farm shop and its location. Photographs of the butchery and livestock were taken to provide a library of images that could be used for digital, social media marketing and printed material.
Design tasks: branding, logo mark, typeface and colour selection, mobile responsive website, menu design, wine tags, signage, photography, product stickers, gift card and canvas shopping bags.
