Project overview: The Erimus Insurance project was a white-sheet design in terms of the branding elements and logo design. Erimus used to be known as Teesside Insurance, but a business decision was made to move the company forward into additional markets, and a new image was therefore required.
The Erimus 'shield' was developed as part of the initial design concepts offered to the client. The Shield is a symbolic design that implies very much the concept of 'protection' in terms of the Insurance services offered to corporate and individual clients. The semi-classical yet blocky style of stypeface adds solidity to the design, but still hints at the historic name of Erimus used in the Middlesbrough region over the decades.
Once the brand was established, the printed company stationery set was created for all staff members, and a mobile responsive fully content managed website to give Erimus a professional online presence.
Corporate image selection played an important role in contrasting with the text based page information, and all images were selected based on their inherent theme of 'protection' to match the Shield in the logomark. All images were stripped of their natural colour and replaced with the duotone effect from two of the corporate pantone palette shades.
Design tasks: full brand development, logomark, typeface and colour selection, exterior office signage, content managed mobile responsive website, corporate pattern, advert design, company stationery set, promotional and business marketing material, editable email template, office location maps.
